Hi.  Thank you for offering this forum for discussion.

My question is.. When we "Save a Clip" the clip is saved as an MP4.  So far we have not found any player that can play our saved clips.  I've found and updated codecs from quite a few different sources.  I've download several players and none of them will play the file.  Windows Media Player, VLC( a very common powerful open source player) and even the Video Player that is included with the DVR Server will not play the clip.

We need to be able to Save a Clip and play it on a variety of PCs.  Please advise.

For your problem to play Video Clip you saved in our software, please refer to this link for a .swf file(Can be played by IE):

If you want to conver this file to AVI / MS MPG4 format to be played with Windows Media Player, please upgrade you software version to 6.62, or download the new player file from the link:
http://cqax.meibu.com/DownLoad/temporary/swf/Convert_format_with_Player.swf
download and exact it, run Player.exe, find the file, right click on the file name you can find there is two option "Convert to AVI" and "Convert to MPG".

When I convert either to H264 or MP4.avi I dont have any AUDIO embedded in my new files,

My converted files are well playable by most players but I have only VIDEO and no SOUND in them?

What can be wrong, please?

Hi sibirian,

We do not support to convert audio while backup & convert file clip. So you can not get file clip with audio if you convert the format. To get video & audio in file clip, you should never convert the file format.

This was caused by many reason such as, there are too many brands with different audio standard and compression method(NV & DG & Third provider), so please do not convert the format if you need audio, just copy our Player to play the file clip.
